STEVENS PASS

My favorite place in Seattle is Stevens Pass . I went there 3 times in the winter , tow times with my husband and the third time with my friends . It were memorial days .

Stevens Pass always crowded and active place especially in the winter season .

There are a ski school, shops for renting ski tools, chairlifts, rest aria, and restaurant . I learned skate after long time of training.

The white color of the snow, and the cold sensation toke me to another life .

Fasting Benefits

Hello everyone!

It is from my pleasure to inform you about Ramadan. I thought my classmates might explain Ramadan from a religious perspective, so I will share a few minutes from a common Saudi Program which has been shown every Ramadan for the past 10 years.

This video shows how logical and scientific Islam is. In fact Islam has used scientific fact for more than 1400 years.

Scientists believe the body has environmental toxins and other harmful substances that can be removed by fasting or detoxifying the body. They claim that fasting allows the body to focus energy on cleansing and healing itself. they found that fasting helps the immune system work more efficiently, allows more oxygen and white blood cells to flow through the body, helps the body burn more fat, helps increase energy, and allows other healing functions to improve. Some supporters claim that fasting by a person who has cancer can "starve" a tumor, leading to cell death.

Few people realize all the health consequences of fasting and that perhaps Ramadan has depended upon it as a way to 'heal' the body and soul.

My Seattle

Seattle means a new life to me with new experiences and amazing views. The changes of the seasons during the year give me strength because the weather and the mixture of nature's colors in the sea, sun, clouds and green lands gives me hope, optimism and satisfaction.

My new hobby in Seattle has been cooking because I am a newlywed and neither of us knew how to cook. So I started to read a lot of cook books, to search the internet and ask my mother about some dishes. It was difficult for me at the beginning but now it so exciting.

Introduction :

My name is Amani which means 'wishes' in Arabic. I am 27 years old, newlywed . I have a double major, nursing and business administration . I worked in a private and a governmental hospital in different areas like ER, Delivery room, Prenatal section and Postpartum section . My motivation to study administration was the weakness of our hospitals management . I hope to make a lot of changes in our health system one day.

My Hometown is Medina, Saudi Arabia, which is the second holiest city in Islam.  Medina was the the power base of Islam in its first century.

There are a lot of historic landmark in Medina. There are the three oldest mosques in Islam: Al-Masjid al-Nabawi ''The Prophet's Mosque''

Quba Mosque ''the first mosque in Islam's history''

and Masjid al-Qiblatain '' the mosque where the direction of Muslim prayer was switched from Jerusalem to Makkah.

Entrance to Medina is restricted to Muslims only.  There are a lot of Muslims visit Medina from all over the world every year.
